Phillip Dang, Psy.D.
Dr. Dang is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and co-founder of Aspire Psychological and Executive Coaching Services (APECS). He earned his undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and his master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of La Verne in La Verne, California. Dr. Dang completed his psychology internship at the APA-Accredited Colorado Mental Health Institute at Fort Logan, and an APA-Accredited postdoctoral fellowship at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital.
In his clinical practice, Dr. Dang specializes in providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to adult and adolescent clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems, such as anxiety, stress, depression, sleep difficulties, and relationship problems. Dr. Dang has a particular interest in men’s issues, such as masculinity and gender roles. Dr. Dang also has extensive experience providing supervision to clinicians as they acquire skills to deliver CBT in their own practice. In all elements of his work, Dr. Dang aims to provide an environment of authenticity, genuineness, and respect.
As an Executive Coach, Dr. Dang specializes in helping new and established leaders develop an organizational identity that will allow them to develop an environment conducive to employee engagement, customer commitment, and improved organizational performance. Dr. Dang adapts his coaching process to identify specific but realistic action plans built around the strengths and areas of improvement identified by each leader he works with, by conducting assessments and providing clear and constructive feedback based on data obtained about each individual.
